"Well... I actually don't know where Gri really lives." Soreawk confessed. "Could you show us his hideout? With your help, we could plan a perfect surprise attack, I know it!"

"His hideout is in a small birch tree on the far northeastern part of Kauria, but he has assassins stationed all over Stone-Run," Water-wings began, drawing a small map in the dirt, "On every corner of this forest there is a murderer, and I think I remember him mentioning a spy within the Stone-Run Forest Tribe."
Water-wings took a deep breath and went on, "But I swear to Swordbird that I am not the spy."

"A... a spy?" Soreawk gasped. "But... none of our birds are traitors, I'm so sure! He sighed. "Let's just try to focus on getting in now though... which way do you think?"

"Getting in?" Water-wings asked, "to Gri's hideout? Well, first we should focus on getting to Kauria. We'll need a boat of some kind. I know of a tribe of Shearwaters who are expert shipbuilders."
The female bluejay was almost ashamed of her knowledge, though she knew she shouldn't be.

((Lol. Longwillow tribe of shearwaters, which means like from Sword dream XD))

(Sword Dream <3)

"Then I guess we should go there." Soreawk said. "Okay, how do we? Oh, and, I'll go get our friends."

Soreawk called Lucky and Crystal-heart, who acted as though they hadn't watched. Patiently they listed to Soreawk--hearing the story a second time.

For a while both were quiet. Then Lucky broke the silence, and in a quiet voice, said, "Of course we'll help." There was great sympathy in her voice. Crystal-heart nodded her agreement

(It's not that good of a story, though! It dissolved in lameness after I wrote it.)

"Well, the Shearwaters live in the southern coast of Stone-Run," Water-wings began, unsure of herself. "I think"

(No way! :O Sword Dream was awesome! Easily one of the best fan fics I've ever read, trust me. X3 I just wish it had been longer, seriously!)

Soreawk nodded. "Then we'll try there." He said, flying off.

(Longer in what way? Like, the story could have been improved if it were longer, it's so good you wanted more, it seemed cramped into a small space, or none of the above.)

Water-wings led, but memories flooded her mind and soon she could not navigate, or even fly. Shivering, she folded her long-feathered wings around her body and started to plummet to the ground. "Begone, Castlewood," she murmured as she fell, "Begone, Kauria. Most of all, begone, Kirtia..just leave me be and torment me no longer."

(In that I wanted more! :3)

Soreawk had gone with Water-wings, while Lucky and Crystal-heart tried to find some reinforcements.

Water-wings tried to find the Longwillow camp, but her sense of direction seemed askew, and she couldn't figure out which way was south. "Soreawk, where's south?" she asked more than once.

Soreawk blinked at her. "Er... you feeling okay?" he asked, putting a wing on her forehead. "Not hot..." He murmured, half to himself.

"I...I don't know. I'm not one that birds would consider mad, or crazy, but my memory....it's fogging up. Real bad, too," Water-wing muttered, turning her head away in shame.

Soreawk frowned. "I'm sorry Water-wings. Maybe... Maybe I should just try to find it, and you do some resting, would that be better?"

Water-wings nodded slowly and lighted down on a tree and fell asleep instantly. She dreamed of horrid things, but still she slept.

Soreawk flew on. He imagined he was near by now... Soon he heard a rustling in the bushes. He froze with fear. His eyes shifted easily.

"W-who's there...?" He lifted into the air and blocked Water-wings from view. Though he knew she was asleep and could not hear him, he whispered to her, "I'll protect you. I promise," as though he believed she could hear him in her dreams.

Soreawk let out a gasp as a bird that was unusually large for his kind pinned him down. With glaring eyes full of hatred, Soreawk recognized the bird instantly.

It was Gri.
