"I meant to get my wings wet!" Soreawk argued. "Made it more impressive." Soreawk glanced at Water-wings, blushing. "R-... right?"
Lucky rolled her eyes and chuckled slightly. With a sigh, she said, "Of course. Now stop arguing. You're both good fliers and good show-offs."

Glass-Feathers the fairy tern flew towards where everyone was arguing and talking. "Hey guys, maybe you've forgotten. The Bright Moon festival is tonight! Shouldn't you be preparing?"

Lucky, Soreawk, and Crystal-heart blinked.
"Oh yeah... heh heh..."
"I'm planning to do some flying tricks at the festival," Soreawk boasted, glaring at Avian with a smug smile. Lucky sighed.

"I'm doing a violin show and Glass-Feathers is going to sing with me." Olive-Toes offered. Water-Wings, without lookin away from Soreawk, said, I think it will be wonderful. I'm going to make some current and blackberry pie, and I think Half-Cloud will be there with some of her fluffy bread. She grows her own wheat and makes her bread from that very wheat. It tastes great!"

Soreawk smiled at Water-wings looking at him. And then said, "Well, I'll be first in line to get some of that bread! I'm hungry."

Still lookign at the other blue jay, Water-Wings asked, "Would you like to help me make the pies? It's hard to make five pies alone."

Soreawk grinned. "Oh, of course! Yes! That would be great!" His heart was soaring, even higher than he could.

So Water-Wings started a small fire and left for a moment. When she returned, she was carrying sacks of blackberries and currents. One sack held the dough and pie tins. Water-Wings took out the pie tins ans dough and handed soem to Soreawk. Water-Wings showed teh other blue jay how to layer the dough so it would like a biscuit.

Soreawk tried it, but it looked a bit... messy. Kind of bumpy, not very even. He grinned nervously. He was making a fool out of himself... and in front of Water-wings, of all birds!
"Er..." He was at a loss for words. He stared down at his talons, blushing -- half in embarrassment, half because he liked Water-wings.

Water-Wings just smiled, and showed Soreawk the proper way. She began to feel something strange in her chest...was it love? Water-Wings could not be sure and went back to crushign blackberries between rocks and leaving the currents whole.

Soreawk nodded as Water-wings showed him the right way to make a pie, and then he tried again. It was much better.

Lucky and Crystal-heart watched Soreawk and Water-wings with smug smiles. "Ooh la la," Lucky chirped, making Crystal-heart giggle.

Glass-Feathers joind the peahen and robin. "It's strange, seeing Water-Wings llike this." she said, think about what she was like in the past, "She is usually all show-offy around everyone. Not with Soreawk."

Berry-Crest was flying over the Appleby Hills when he spotted something. It seemed unthreatening, so he landed. He bowedto the robin in front of him. "I am Berry-Crest. May I ask why all these birds are here?"

"One, we're just friends. Two, the Bright Moon Festival is tonight." Lucky explained. And then said, "My name is Lucky, by the way." She shook Berry-crest's wing. "Nice to meet you. My friends are Water-wings, Avian, Soreawk, Crystal-heart, Glass-feathers, and Olive-toes." She pointed at them in turn. "It's nice to meet you!"

Berry-Crest dipped his head, which was his usual way of greeting. "I see." he said. "It is nice to meet you all."

"That would be a rather joyous work, yes, thank you." Berry-Crest said proudly, holding his head high. When the cardinal tried to make a pie, however, it was worse than Soreawk's first try. "Whups." he muttered, trying to cover up his mistake.

Soreawk laughed. "Don't worry, it's kinda hard at first." He fixed it. "There, that's how you do it. Now you try!"

berry-Crest tried again, but this time he fell into the dough. When he was finally able to stand up, crest was plastered to his head because of teh dough.

Soreawk couldn't help but laugh. "Er... wash yourself off and try again?"

Berry-Crest took his time in washing himself off and by the time he was done, there was only one pie left to be prepared. He did it, but the dough was slightly bumby, but it would work. "There." he said when he was finished.

Soreawk sniffed the pies. "Smell good!" he said, and to comfort Berry-crest, added, "Hey, it doesn't have to look good! Just taste good, right?" Lucky, laughing, nodded in agreement and so did Crystal-heart.

Half-cloud the peahen walked up slowly, balancing loaves of bread on her back. "Good Sordbird, these are hot!" she exclaimed.

Soreawk noticed Half-cloud and laughed. "Hey there! Need some help?" Lucky giggled too and nodded in agreement, so did Crystal-heart. "We'd be glad to help you!" Lucky said.
